My Blog’s 2nd Birthday: Curvy Kate

Curvy Kate are currently one of the biggest names in the full-bust market, and when you look at their designs, it isn’t hard to see why. They are dedicated to providing fun, flirty sets, in an impressive size range of 28-40 D-K.

Curvy Kate SS14 Brochure

L-R: Portia Lime/Rose, Eden Rose Print, Dreamcatcher Rose. All available in 28-40 D-K, 42-44 D-G.

Curvy Kate does not hire professional models for their catalogues, instead running their Star In A Bra contest every year, allowing their customers to become the brand’s next model. It is a wonderful contest, with women of all shapes and sizes entering every year.

Curvy Kate Daisy Chain Sherbet/Rose

Daisy Chain Sherbet/Rose, available in 28-38 D-J.

Some of their SS14 range is already available, featuring vibrant shades of rose, tigerlilly and lime, as well as more subdued shades of blush, china blue and sherbet. They consistently produce beautiful designs season after season, and are not afraid to experiment with introducing different styles. The beautiful Daisy Chain is an unpadded plunge, a nice change from their balconettes. Their recent seasons also include a babydoll up to a K cup, a padded half-cup up to a J cup, and they will be releasing their first strapless bra in September.

Curvy Kate Carmen Longline Set

Carmen Rose Mix, available in 28-38 D-J.

One of my favourite pieces from their latest season is the stunning Carmen, a longline bra up to a J cup! The cups appear to be based on the very popular Fleurty style, and it is available with a breathtaking deep suspender belt. Longlines have been so popular on the high street for the past couple of years, so I am very pleased that there is finally one for those in smaller bands and G+ cups!

If you would like to win any of the above, here’s your chance! Curvy Kate have very kindly offered the prize of one set of Curvy Kate lingerie! • That’s a question and a half! I’m not really sure, I have the Ritzy in a 32J which seems decently alright in the cups on me. Super tempted to get the Carmen too, but I am bad like that. I did try a 32K Gia which was way too big for me before, when I was around a 30KK (30L/LL in EM), 30K Gia probably would have been fine. I hear most of them have gotten narrower, deeper and more generous, so maybe it would be worth asking the CK representative if you won. Make sure you’ve gone and confirmed your entry now the widget’s live :)

  1. My favourite Curvy Kate set has to be the Carmen longline; I’ve wanted a longline bra for the longest time, and I’m so excited that they’ve launched one in my size. (I wear a 30GG.)

  2. The dreamcatcher set is lovely. Do you think that the shape may have been improved from past styles (the princess, the portia, etc.)?

  3. Their spring/summer collection is gorgeous, I love the range of colours. Even though I adore all the pastels and brights, I am still drawn to the black bras! Roxie Black Sherbet is my favourite which I would pick if I won.

  4. I don’t have any CK bras but am finding myself liking some of their upcoming designs…and love their marketing campaigns…longline bras are my new love so I’d try Carmen I think!

  5. The Carmen longline! I’ve wanted a longline bra for the longest time but being a 30/32 H, it hasn’t been an option. Now it is thanks to curvy kate!

  6. Tough, but I’m gonna go with the Luxe, a strapless with a bit extra. While I like the Carmen on paper (a half cup padded longline? yes please!), I’m not so keen on the design. Just like the Fleurty, it’s not that bad, but it’s not that “omg wow” to me either.

  7. That Carmen! As a general rule I tend to shy away from pink but there is something about the color/style that I have been drooling over since I first saw them post it on facebook!

  8. I adore the Tease Me in most color ways, and the Starlet in petrol is also gorgeous and one of the “youngest” looking pieces I own.

  9. I love a lot of Curvy Kate’s cute designs, but that Carmen is something else entirely. The whole look is great, I might like the suspender even more than the bra, and the bra is gorgeous!

  10. I absolutely love the Smoothies, good shape, very practical but still with some fun in it. I have however been eyeing up the Ritzy Babydoll as well… :)

  11. I love the Ritzy for it’s vaguely menswear inspired design. Unfortunately I know Showgirl does not work on me. The new color way of the Portia isn’t a bad consolation prize though!

    • There’s the Tease Me they released as part of the Christmas mini-collection? Scarlet and Black I think it was, super pretty. I have the Ritzy, I adore it :)

  12. I really love the new longline, but I’m not sure how that gore will work for me. But I love longlines so much I might just deal with the pain.

  13. I ould defenitely go for the new longline bra, the Carmen Rose Mix! I’ve been “longing for a longline” so this is definitely up my alley! 😀

  14. I was sized out of the Showgirls line, and pretty disappointed by the cut of the Smoothie, but that Carmen Rose set is so lovely…

  15. I really like the Roxie :) The cup construction looks supportive, and my close set breasts can only wear plunges from Curvy Kate.

  16. Although the Carmen pretty much wins, I also really want to try the Ritzy and Tease Me; I just wish I knew what size to try with them!

  17. Ritzy, Luxe, Roxie – I really like CK because they have a pretty narrow gore. Perfect for my rather close-set-ness and I don’t have to worry about the gore stabbing me in the chest!

  18. I love the new plunges, the Roxie especially. I haven’t had great luck with Curvy Kate in the past, but I’m considering trying more of their cuts now that they’ve said they made some adjustments in the larger cup sizes.

  19. i want the tease me or tempt me sooo bad, the tempt me i ordered was beautiful but hopelessly small. i took a risk ordering it, thinking somehow my boobs would shrink, sigh. so pretty, such heartbreak sending it back :'(

  20. For practicality, my favorite is that Daily Boost Nude from the autumn/ winter collection, and for funsies the Tease Me Purple/Ivory from the spring/summer 2013 collection.

  21. So far Curvy Kates thrill me is my favourite (but sadly its now too big for me).
Love the look of the new Carmen.

  22. I love so many of them! I think I’d have to go with the Carmen though, as I have shallow breasts and Curvy Kate’s unpadded bras don’t work on me >:
