As my last few guest posts on here have been about Gossard bras I thought I’d switch it up a little and tell you all about my most favourite bra ever: the Freya Deco Carly. It may surprise you to know that I got this bra in 2011, that’s right THREE years ago! Although the band has stretched out a little I still absolutely adore this bra and don’t think I could ever bring myself to throw it away.
The appearance of the Carly is lovely; it’s overall white in colour with a black criss-crossing chain pattern printed on the base, a black lace trim overlaying the top of the cups, and beautiful teal velvet strips just below. Also on the bra sit 3 teal and black lace bows – two where the straps join the cups, and one on the gore.
I don’t feel I can say too much about the band size as I know it will have stretched out since I got it, but I know many other reviewers have advised to size down as they run a little loose (which may be something to keep in mind when buying a Deco bra). As with most Deco styles, the cups of this bra run slightly large, so you may need to size down – I’m usually a 28G but find the 28FF in this style to be a perfect fit. The wires are narrow-to-average width with a low gore. Others have said the cups are quite tall but I haven’t found this – it’s much lower cut than my other plunge bras, such as the Bravissimo Satine or the Gossard Botanical.
Overall I absolutely adore everything about this bra; the look, feel, shape, it just seems perfect for me! Thinking about it, I should really purchase a few more Decos so I won’t be so devastated when this one becomes unusable! Anyway, thanks for reading, and make sure to let me know any thoughts in the comments below!
This is an older season item which I have had for a long time, so you may not be able to find this exact colourway anymore. There are limited sizes of the Freya Deco Carly currently available at Belle Lingerie (36B and 38C), and there are many other colourways of the Freya Deco available at Brastop, Bravissimo and Belle Lingerie.
