My Top Picks for AW15

If you follow many lingerie blogs, you may have realised that this time of year is when all the lingerie brands head to tradeshows to showcase what will be new from them next season. In fact, I’ve just gotten back from Moda, where I got to see lots of next year’s lovely SS16 pieces (more on that soon!), but for now I thought it might be nice to do a round-up of all of my favourite pieces coming out for AW15 – that is, anytime now!

Curvy Kate

Curvy Kate’s AW15 collection primarily features cranberry red, eyecatching oranges and golds, with some splashes of pixie green.

Curvy Kate Ellace Black/Champagne

One of my firm favourites, this is the Ellace in Black/Champagne. This bra is Curvy Kate’s first foray into a balconette with a stretch lace upper (a design which seems to be becoming very popular!), which I am so excited to try out myself. Available in 28-40 D-K, 42-44 D-G at Brastop.

Curvy Kate Cascade Pixie Green

Another bra I was so excited to see, Cascade in Pixie (a lovely sort of jade green)! Deeper green bras are rarer than hen’s teeth, and as this bra is a revised version of my much-loved Gia, this may be one that has to join my collection. Available in 28-40 D-K, 42-44 D-G at Brastop.

Curvy Kate Cherie Cherry

It’s hard to choose a third option, as there are so many lovely pieces – from the sultry Tease camisole, to their first AW15 swimwear collection, to the new luxe-based Daily Dream – but my last pick definitely has to be the Cherie, a laminated balconette featuring a retro-inspired cherry print, black polka dot mesh, and the sweetest contrasting green bows. Available in 28-40 D-K, 42-44 D-G at Brastop.

Eveden

Freya

Freya’s collection is actually quite colourful this season, with lots of pinks and purples, and a few splashes of electric blue, green and orange. And yet…all my favourites were black!

Freya Starlet Black

A new continuity colour for the gorgeous Starlet (the fashion colour is neon pink). I love the electric blue polka dots on the bow. The Starlet is available in 28-38 bands and B-G cups, with the neon pink version available at Bravissimo.

Freya Enchanted Anthracite

The Enchanted in Anthracite, an unpadded plunge featuring adorable mint and grey highlights. Available in 28-38 bands and B-HH cups at Brastop.

Freya Hero Black

Finally, the Hero in Black, a side support balconette bra with (I believe) a non-stretch upper. It’s a very elegant design, with the silver trim adding just a touch of glamour to an otherwise everyday bra. This also comes in a fashion colourway of Berry, and is available in 28-38 bands and D-K cups at Brastop.

Fantasie

This collection features darker colours, with lots of black, luxurious tones of royal/navy blue, deep red, as well as some splashes of grey and blush pink. Unfortunately, despite them advertising as such on their brochures, there are still no styles to a UK K cup, with J being the highest cup available.

Fantasie Francesca Noir

My favourite style from Fantasie had to be the Francesca, which is available as a vertically seamed bra (pictured left, 30-38 bands  and C-G cups), a longline bra (pictured right, 30-38 bands and C-G cups), and a side support bra (not pictured, 30-38 bands and D-GG cups). It was hard to choose between the Francesca and the gorgeous Allegra in Electric Blue, but the contrasting colours and choice of embroidery won me over in the end! Available in stores soon.

Elomi/Goddess

This collection primarily featured tones of red, navy blue and purple, but once again, my favourite piece was – you guessed it – black.

Elomi Raquel Black

This is Racquel, a gorgeous side-support full-cup bra featuring black piping over stunning panels of black satin, sheer mesh and delicate lace. I love the almost strappy look the piping gives this bra, and the high-waisted briefs are a big favourite of mine. Available in 34-44 bands and DD-JJ cups, with some sizes currently available at Figleaves.

Gossard

Gossard are a brand I’ve long adored and have worked with in the past. I was quite disappointed when their SS15 collection had barely any designs going to a G cup, but that seems to have been improving for this season! This collection features lots of black pieces, with some pinks, blues and reds.

Gossard VIP Desire Body and Bustier in Black

This is the Desire, a gorgeous style from the VIP collection that I am so lusting after! It is available in a Soft Body (pictured left, sizes 8-16) and a Plunge Bustier Bra (pictured right, 30-38 bands and A-G cups), and it is honestly just so stunning. I absolutely adore the lace used in this style, and I think the high-waisted suspender short is just to die for. Available now.

Gossard Swim Blossom and Retro Button Blue

I was also super pleased to see these new swimwear pieces, the Blossom (L) and Retro Button (R, also available in Red)! I absolutely adored the Retro Button bikini/suit from a few seasons ago, and was so disappointed when it disappeared and there were barely any G cup choices available. But, happily, both of these styles are available for AW15 in 30-38 bands and A-G cups, though I wish there were matching high-waist briefs. Blossom and Retro Button are both available on the Gossard online store.

LF Intimates

Lepel

Lepel have historically only gone to a G cup or so, but as of SS15, they have had quite a few styles in 30-38 D-J, which puts them just about in my reach! Plus, with most of Lepel’s bras retailing for under £25, they are a very affordable option, and definitely one to check out if you haven’t recently. Lepel’s AW15 collection features lots of magenta, navy blue and aqua, with a few pops of pink and red.

Lepel Fiore and Matilda in Aqua and Magenta

Two of my favourite brights for the season, the Fiore in Magenta (L) and Matilda in Aqua/Purple (R), both available in 30-38 bands and A-G cups. The Fiore is a classic design with so many fans, and I love the eye-catching Aqua used in the Matilda. Fiore is available as a plunge or a full-cup, and Matilda is a padded half-cup.

Lepel Rita Black Ivory

A gorgeous basic, the Rita in Black/Ivory. This is one of the styles going up to a J cup, and was actually available in Purple for SS15. If you (like me) are curious about Lepel’s J cup styles, you may also want to look out for Rosey (also to be available in AW15’s Magenta colourway soon). Rita is available in 30 D-J, 32-38 B-J, both at Brastop and Lepel’s new online store.

Lepel Lexi Plunge T-Shirt and Soft Bras Black Beige Nude

Finally, Lepel also have Lexi, a range of basic pieces including a moulded t-shirt plunge (pictured left), a moulded strapless (not pictured), as well as a new wireless moulded plunge (pictured right), all available in 30-38 bands and A-G cups. These styles are available in Black and Beige Nude, and they look to be a strong contender when it comes to basic options – I’m particularly interested in the super comfy looking wireless plunge! The Lexi range is available on Brastop and Lepel’s online store.

Charnos

Charnos is the second of the LF Intimates brands, and I have to say, I absolutely adore this collection from them – it is quite possibly my favourite of AW15! As with Lepel, there has been a huge jump in the number of J cup styles, and I honestly want to try out every single one. This season from Charnos features lots of berry pink, royal blue and rich purples.

Charnos Cecile in Iris Purple

My first pick, the stunning Cecile in Iris. This is a balconette style, featuring a gorgeous scalloped edge, unusual floral embroidery, and subtle polka dot detailing. This style will be available in 30 D-J, 32-38 B-J, and will be dropping in mid-September.

Charnos Superfit Lace in Black/Nude

A new addition to Charnos’ Superfit range, the Superfit Smooth Lace in Black/Beige Nude. This style comes in both a Strapless (30-38 C-H) and Moulded (30-38 C-G), and I absolutely adore the matching high waisted brief. As above, this style will be available from mid-September.

Charnos Violet in Berry

Possibly my favourite set of the collection, the Violet in Berry. Isn’t it gorgeous?! This will be available in 32 C-J, 34-38 B-J, and should be available in mid-August (so just a few days)! Along with this, Charnos’s AW15 collection will include an expanded Sienna, the Lilly Rose (a Navy/Orange balconette), Suzette (a lacy balconette in Scarlet and Ivory), Gabrielle (a Black/Pink balconette) and Betsy (a side-support full cup with stretch lace upper, in Black and Beige Nude), all of which will be available in 30-38 bands and B-J cups! I definitely think Lepel and Charnos have the potential to become some of the main contenders in the GG-J range, and I can’t wait to try all of these lovely pieces out for myself.

Panache

Panache

Panache are one of the bigger brands in the full-bust market, and I think this collection showcases just why that is. This season from Panache features lots of darker colours, including rich teals, royal blues, deep reds, with the occasional bright oranges and pinks, with most bras becoming available around October.

Panache Floris Aurora

The one bra I am dying to get my hands on from this season, the Floris in Aurora. This northern lights inspired design features a navy blue base with greens, reds, purples and pinks across the cups. Combine that with this being the Floris, one of the absolute best bras for me, and I am just so in love with it! Currently available in 30-38 D-K at Brastop.

Panache Olivia Teal

Another favourite of mine, the Olivia in Deep Jade. This is a balconette with a stretch upper, which I think sounds like an incredible construction, one which I can’t wait to try out myself. I was super tempted by last season’s delectable pale Apricot colourway, and I’m finding myself even more tempted by this season’s Deep Jade, as it’s one of my favourite colours – tough choices! Available in 30-38 D-K, hopefully soon!

Panache Clara Navy/Jade

Finally, another piece I am so excited about, the Clara in Navy/Jade. It’s like a mermaid bra!!! I’ve discovered I can just about wear the Andorra in a 32J, so I’m very much hoping that Clara will fit similarly, as this is just so gorgeous. Available in 30-38 D-J at Bravissimo! Other exciting bras from Panache this season include Cari (a moulded spacer bra in Cranberry, sizes 28-38 D-G) and Brooke (a plainer Jasmine-based bra in Claret, sizes 30-38 D-K), both coming soon.

Panache Sport

Panache Sport AW15

The Sport is one of my favourite bras, and this season comes with the absolute best news…it’s having a size expansion! The wired version (Pink/Geo top left, Coral/Grey bottom right) will now be available up to a J cup in 32 and 34 bands, and up to a HH cup in 28 and 36 bands. The non-wired version (Grey Floral top right, Grey/Coral bottom left) hasn’t changed, available in 28-40 bands and B-H cups.

Panache Black

The new collection from Panache Black (formerly Masquerade) is fairly small, with just four non-continuity pieces in tones of blue and basic black/nude.

Panache Ardour Navy

The Ardour in Navy, available in 38-38 D-G from October. I do like this bra, as I feel it makes a good option for a classier, more luxurious smooth bra.

Panache Aria Black/Nude

The Aria moulded plunge in Black/Beige Nude. I feel this is a really interesting design, featuring bold black panels, along with sheer bandage-esque strips of geometric lace over the beige nude base. This will be available in 28 F-H, 30-38 D-H, I believe from October. Panache Black’s other new pieces include the Esme, a Jasmine-based Black/Beige Nude bra available in 28-38 D-K, and a new deep Teal colourway for the Eclipse.

Cleo by Panache

This season from Cleo primarily features tones of purple and orange, with some zesty highlights of pink and yellow.

Cleo by Panache Breeze Longline in Floral Multi

I loved this set! This is the Breeze Longline in Floral/Multi, which I think features a darker, somewhat more sophisticated sort of floral than is common in most sets at the moment. This will be available in 28-38 bands and C-H cups.

Cleo by Panache Kali Babydoll in Purple

A super cute set, the Kali Babydoll in Purple. Kali will also be available in a Burnt Orange colourway, but unfortunately not as the babydoll. Both the babydoll and balconette bra will be available in 28 E-H, 30-38 D-J.

Cleo by Panache Hettie in Black/Cobalt

Finally, something a little more basic, the Hettie in Black/Cobalt. I love that this is plain enough to be an practical set, but the cobalt straps and orange bow detail give it just that little bit of Cleo twist. It also features a stretch lace upper, which is a construction I always love! This will be available in 28 E-H, 30-38 D-J.

Sculptresse

The last Panache sub-brand I saw at Moda was Sculptresse, and once again, I got a very mermaid-y, deep sea vibe from this collection. This season primarily features tones of blue and teal, with a few pops of hot red.

Panache Sculptresse Bunny Azure

My favourite Sculptresse piece had to be the Bunny in Azure, a gorgeous royal blue embroidered with seashells. Because, c’mon, mermaid bra! This style is based on the Cleo Marcie cut, and will be available soon in 36-46 bands and D-H cups.

Panache Sculptresse Charisse Sequin

Another mermaid bra, the Charisse in Sequin Print, which is a side-support full cup with a non-stretch upper. This has come out much bluer than in person – it’s actually a wonderfully rich, vivid teal. It’s described as a sequin print, but personally the print reminds me of cool water, bubbles and seafoam. This will be available in 36-46 bands and D-J cups.

Panache Sculptresse Flirtini Fishnet Print

One style I unfortunately didn’t photograph was the Kitty, a new style (cut similarly to the Charisse) in a hot red, starry mesh. However, I did love this new colourway for the Flirtini, describe as fishnet print. This colourway seems a little bit sexy-business-woman to me, or maybe a little bit Moulin Rouge. I’m not sure! But as with just about all combinations of black, white and red, I am definitely a fan. Available soon in 34-46 bands and D-H cups.

Scantilly

I’m so excited about this collection! This is a new sister brand from Curvy Kate, due to launch in October, described as being “Curvy Kate’s naughtier friend”. Their designs are dark, seductive, and very much made to be seen! There are only three designs in this collection, so I might as well show you them all 😉

Scantilly Peek-a-Boo Black

Their first set is the Peek-a-Boo, composed of black mesh and satin, featuring heavy piping, bold panels, and enticing cut-out details. I love the satin panel wrapping round the bottom of the cups, the keyhole cut-out at the gore, and the oh-so-cheeky backless briefs!

Scantilly Pounce

Next up, Pounce! The Pounce is a vertically seamed foam-lined half-cup, featuring a sultry leopard print, black mesh panels, and the most eye-catching ruffle detailing. I love the waspie suspender belt for this set.

Scantilly All Wrapped Up

The last piece of Scantilly’s AW15 collectionAll Wrapped Up. This piece has proven to be very popular so far, and it’s not hard to see why! The foam-lined plunge features an outer lining of sheer dotted black mesh. It’s a fairly simple design, but the stand out of this piece is the removable sash. The sash can be attached to the bra centre and used to create a harness effect (pictured left), or it can be removed and attached to the loop at the back of the briefs (pictured right). From there, you (or your partner) can tie the sash however you like – in a big bow, around your waist, or (my personal favourite option) around your wrists. Ooer! All three of these designs will be available in 30-38 DD-HH from October.

Tutti Rouge

Finally, my much-loved Tutti Rouge. Each season from Tutti Rouge has been a breath of fresh air since the brand started, and this season is no different. This collection heavily features jewel tones, with rich shades of magenta, scarlet, emerald and sapphire.

Tutti Rouge Betty Multi/Creme

Possibly my favourite piece of this collection, the Betty in Multi/Creme, featuring a vivacious tattoo-esque rose print base, accented with lashings of magenta mesh and lace. This will be available in 28-38 D-HH.

Tutti Rouge Beatrice Emerald/Noir

The colour hasn’t shown very well here, but this is the Beatrice in Emerald/Noir. Huzzah for emerald bras!!! Tutti Rouge will also be doing the Nichole in an Emerald/Pink colourway, but of the two, the Beatrice is definitely my favourite. I love the black contrasting embroidery with the rich emerald, and the little cameo charm at the centre is so adorable. This will be available in 28-38 D-HH.

Tutti Rouge Jessica Black/Nude

Finally, an exciting new bra for Tutti Rouge, the Jessica in Black/Nude Beige. This is the first unpadded plunge bra with removable pads going up to a HH cup on the market, which is something Tutti Rouge (and lots of us bloggers) are very excited about! I absolutely adore the colours, the threaded ribbons, the polka dot mesh, the lavish laces, the tiny roses, it’s all just so wonderfully decadent, feminine and sultry! This can be worn without the cookies, with a small set of booster cookies, or with the larger set of superbooster cookies, which results in some very impressive cleavage! This will be available sometime this month in 28-38 D-HH.

So, those are all my favourites! Obviously there are many more bras coming out this season, but I’ve tried to keep it to just a few per brand. If nothing here takes your fancy, it’s quite possible we just have very different tastes in lingerie, so be sure to keep an eye out for the rest of the new collections on Bravissimo, Brastop and whichever other stores you usually use!

  1. I like all the jade, blue and black tones.
The Elomi Raquel is stunning and I would love to find a similar design in my size range! The crossing lines detail looks almost like an hommage to the venerable Ful-ly bullet bra made by Exquisite Form (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41wNSWOwj3L.jpg) while the black lace overlay on peach also recalls a lot of dressier vintage lingerie looks (https://img1.etsystatic.com/065/0/5260164/il_570xN.797797273_esfn.jpg) Really brings out the bra history nerd in me haha!
