Next up in my Moda previews, Lepel! Lepel are on-trend as always, providing bold, fun and feminine designs which are perfect for the younger audience. The Lepel SS16 collection primarily features tangerine orange, lipstick pink, sea blues and summer green.
Orange and pink are going to be everywhere this season, and Lepel are using them here for the Victoria. This will be available as a Moulded Plunge in Orange (pictures 1, 2; 30-36 B-F, 38 B-E) and a Moulded Balcony in Pink (pictures 1, 3; 32-36 A-G, 30 & 38 B-G). I actually really love this set!
Pink is a strong colour for this collection, so there will also be the Matilda Moulded Balconette in Lipstick Pink (picture 1; 32-36 A-G, 30 & 38 B-G) and the classic Fiore style in Neon Pink, available as both a Padded Plunge (picture 2; 32-36 A-G, 30 & 38 B-G) and a Full Cup (30 D-G, 32-38 B-G).
The Fiore will also be available in this crisp, sweet colourway of Summer Green. Again, this comes in both a plunge and a full cup (sizes as above).
Lepel will also be introducing a new style, the Daisy in Turquoise (pictures 1-2) and Ivory (picture 2). This is a padded plunge style, intended to be a modern remake of the Fiore. Unlike Fiore, the Daisy is a bandless style, featuring fewer embellishments and little details, making it a more basic (though still pretty) choice. Available in 30-38 B-G.
Another new style, Tara, an unpadded bandless plunge in Navy. This is a delectably sophisticated style, featuring sheer cups and tiny white button details, and I am a huge fan! This has a smaller size range than most Lepel styles, and will be available in 30-36 A-DD, 38 B-DD.
Finally, the Lilly Rosette in Print Multi, an adorable padded balconette. This bold, fineliner-esque floral print features sky blue, summer green, neon yellow and pink, bringing all the colours of the collection together. Available in 32-36 A-G, 30 & 38 B-G.
Onto the swimwear! The Lepel Swim SS16 collection once again follows all the season’s biggest trends, offering a good variety of both minimal designs and fun patterns.
A strong colour for this collection is this delectable pacific blue, shown in the Riviera in Blue/White (pictures 1-4) and Lagoon in Blue (pictures 5-6). I love the nautical stripes of the Riviera style, and one very exciting thing about this style is that it will come in a cup-sized moulded triangle bikini top (the first full bust bikini to do so)! I also love the contrasting lining of the Lagoon, and I think the halter bandeau (which has the straps coming from a dropped centre) is a very interesting design. Riviera available as a Moulded Triangle Bikini (pictures 1, 2, 4; 30 C-FF, 32-36 B-G, 38 B-FF), a Moulded Halter Bandeau Bikini and a Moulded Plunge Bikini (both picture 3; 30-38 B-G); Lagoon available as a Moulded Balconette Bikini and Tankini (picture 5; 30-38 B-G) and a Halter Bandeau Bikini (picture 6; sizes 8-18).
Continuing the blue, the Hawaii in Blue Print Multi, an adorable moulded bandeau featuring a Hawaiian beach scene, complete with bright orange sunset, palm trees, and tiny hula girl figures. Available in 30-38 B-G.
Lepel are also introducing these two sporty, sleek styles, which I am personally a huge fan of! Firstly, Lepel continue the orange and pink trend with the Surf in Fressia Multi, available as a Moulded Bandeau Bikini (pictures 1-3; 30-38 B-G) and a Zipped Bandeau Bikini (pictures 3-4; sizes 8-16). The moulded bandeau’s halter strap is removable, so it can also be worn as a strapless. There is also the absolutely stunning Venice Beach, which features a black and white palm tree print base, with neon coral and lime highlights. This is available as a Longline Bandeau (pictures 1-2; 30-38 B-G) and Push Up Triangle Bikini (sizes 8-16). As well as the standard bikini brief shown, there will also be a mid-rise, looser fitting pair of swim shorts (which you can see a glimpse of in this facebook post), which I think really make this set!
The crochet-fabric Summer Days bikini, available this year in Black/Turquoise (picture 1), Turquoise (pictures 1-2), White (picture 2) and Pink/Black (picture 3). The Black/Turquoise and Turquoise colourways will be available as a wired Balconette Bikini (30-38 B-G), and all colourways will be available as Non-Wired Triangle Bikinis (sizes 8-18).
A big trend for SS16 is 60s/70s prints! I’ll be honest – I hate this trend. But, it is what it is, and Lepel have embraced it with the above styles. We have the mix-and-match Sun Kiss range in Stripe Floral Print, which includes three different bikinis and briefs, as well as a swimsuit. There will be the floral Halter Bikini (picture 1; 30-38 B-H), the striped Twist Plunge Moulded Bikini (picture 3; 30-38 B-G), the floral-with-stripe-trim Push Up Triangle Bikini (sizes 8-18), and the Moulded Bandeau Swimsuit (picture 2; 30-38 B-G). Next is the India style in Coral (picture 4), a psychedelic, brightly coloured little number, available in a Moulded Bandeau (30-38 B-G), as well as a Triangle Bikini and a Non-Wired Swimsuit (both sizes 8-18). The last style is another mix-and-match range, the Sunset in Yellow Print Multi and Blue Print Multi (picture 5), featuring a watercolour-esque 60s floral print over bases of lime yellow and sea blue. This style has no cup-sized options, and is instead available in a Halter Bandeau Bikini (sizes 8-18) and a Triangle Bikini (sizes 8-16).
Finally, one of my favourite styles of the collection, the Helena in Black/Gold. This is an absolutely delectable style, featuring a bold black base with geometric panels of gold fabric, each strikingly overlaid with black mesh. Available as a Moulded Bandeau Bikini and Swimsuit (picture 1; both 30-38 B-G), as well as a Moulded Triangle Bikini (picture 2; sizes 8-18).
Overall, I do quite like this collection! I’ve said before that I’m not a fan of the orange and pink trend, but I definitely like what Lepel have done with it. After Lepel expanding to J cups in SS15, I’m pretty disappointed to see there are no new J-cup colourways or designs this season, but I’m hoping that will change for next season. I’m pleased to see that Lepel are continuing to take risks and try new things (such as the cup-sized triangle bikini), and as ever, I think there are some great pieces, particularly in the swimwear collection!
What do you think of the collection? Are you a Lepel fan? Any favourite styles? Let me know any thoughts in the comments below!

This is a great review! I actually miss the reviews where YOU model the items to show how they fit on a larger woman. Can we expect more of those in the future?
Thanks, and of course!! I only have a couple more previews to do, and I’ve got plenty of reviews lined up
