Whilst we were visiting the LF Intimates stand to see the Lepel and Charnos collections, we were also introduced to an exciting new venture: Lepel London. Lepel London began as a collaboration with ASOS, devised to offer bold, high fashion pieces, without compromising fit or your budget. Before we get into the collection, I will say that this is a new project, so the highest cup size this will reach for this season is a DD. However, sizes will expand to an F cup in SS16, and hopefully, hopefully, they’ll expand up to a G cup for AW16.
So, with that in mind, here’s Lepel London AW15! This collection primarily features classic black, retro blush, vivacious red and cool blues.
The Paloma Underwired Bra and Longline Bra in Black. This is an absolutely stunning piece, featuring sheer lace cups with eyelash edging, over-cup strappy detailing, and satin piping over the wire channels. This will be available in 30-36 bands, with the longline in A-DD cups and the regular bra in A-D cups.
The Claudia Padded Balcony Bra in Black, a vintage-inspired piece featuring bold satin and mesh panels, satin piping details, rose gold detailing and retro-esque wide elastics. Available in 30-36 bands and A-DD cups.
The Chelsea Diamond bra, a soft-cup triangle bra featuring geometric mesh, panelling details and a rose gold front fastening clasp. Available in sizes 6-14.
The second soft cup style of the collection, the Chelsea in Fern. This is another soft-cup triangle bra, but with a higher centre and regular hook-and-eye fastening. This features darted lace cups, pleated ribbon detailing on the straps and under the band, and panelling details. Available in sizes 6-14.
Blue is a strong colour for this collection, starting with the Georgie in Caribbean Sea. This style features a dropped centre, contrasting scalloped lace trim and velvet bow details. This is available in 30-36 bands as both a padded balcony bra (A-DD cups) and an unpadded longline bra (A-D cups).
The next blue piece is the Chelsea Diamond soft-cup triangle bra in Teal, again available in sizes 6-14.
Blush also features predominantly in this collection, starting with the Tiff, shown here in Powder Blue/Blush. This is a vertically seamed padded balcony bra, featuring a blush base with powder blue lace overlay, cut-out detailing on the gore, and delectable sheer lace and mesh on the band and briefs. Available in 30-36 bands and A-DD cups.
One of my favourite pieces of the collection, the Tara in Blush. This is a padded balcony bra (I believe with the same construction as the Claudia), featuring strappy over-cup detailing, satin wire casings, retro-esque wide straps, and stunning stitched detailing on the cups and briefs. Available in 30-36 bands and A-DD cups.
The other version of Tiff, the non-padded underwired bra in Tomato Red. This features the same blush base, cut-out centre and super sheer mesh, but the lace, trims and stitching all in a contrasting red tone. Available in 30-36 bands and A-D cups.
Finally, the red continues onto the last set of the collection with the Paloma in Red. As with the black colourway, this will be available in 30-6 bands as both an underwired bra (A-D cups) and longline bra (A-DD cups).
This collection will be available from October, and matching briefs will be available for all of these pieces in sizes 6-14. While I initially expected this to be a luxury line, I was glad to see that Lepel had kept the pricing realistic for their late teen/young adult target audience, with bras and briefs retailing for between £14-£24 and £6-10 respectively. Overall I am so excited to see Lepel stepping out into something a little more daring and glamorous, and while this collection does have a small size range, I think this gives a great sense of things to come!
So, what do you think of the collection? Any favourite pieces? Would you try them out? Let me know any thoughts in the comments below!
