SIL Preview: Panache AW16 (Including Panache Swim & Sport)

If you follow me on social media, you might already know that a few weeks ago, I took a short trip over to Paris! While I did plenty of fun things (like visiting Disneyland and drinking copious amounts of wine), the main reason I visited was to attend Salon de la Lingerie International. The SIL is a lingerie tradeshow, where industry professionals from all over the world come to see and showcase the latest collections – essentially, it’s the same thing as Moda, but way bigger.

So, that means that I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at lots of the new styles coming out in Autumn/Winter! I’ll be sharing previews on here every day for the next few days, starting with one of the biggest of the lot, Panache! The Panache AW16 collection primarily features shades of blue, teal, berry and gold.

Panache Oriane in Teal Gold (Panache AW16)

Panache Tango in Navy Gold (Panache AW16)

Panache Oriane in Teal/Gold (30-38 D-J) ; Panache Tango in Navy/Gold (28-40 D-K, 42 D-J, 44 DD-FF)

One trend we saw heavily this season was gold embroidery over deep blues and blacks, as shown in this new colourway of the Tango, along with the new Oriane style. Oriane is a full-cup style, similar in construction to the older Clara and Andorra styles.

Panache Cari in Navy (Panache AW16)

Panache Envy in Peacock Blue (Panache AW16)

Panache Olivia in Cobalt (Panache AW16)

Panache Jasmine in Orchid Print (Panache AW16)

Panache Cari Moulded Spacer in Navy (28 DD-G, 30-34 D-H, 36 D-GG, 38 D-G) ; Panache Envy in Peacock Blue (28 F-HH, 30-38 D-K) ; Panache Olivia in Cobalt (30-38 D-K) ; Panache Jasmine in Orchid Print (28 F-HH, 30-38 D-K)

Blues are another strong colour for this collection, shown in these new colourways for the Cari, Envy, Olivia and Jasmine. The Envy looks quite teal in this picture, but I do think in person it’s much more of a true, rich sky blue. I really liked the graphic orchid print used for this colourway of the Jasmine, which I think makes a really nice autumnal floral.

Panache Floris in Teal Floral (Panache AW16)

Panache Clara in Slate Teal (Panache AW16)

Panache Ava in Pearl Grey (Panache AW16)

Panache Clara in Heather (Panache AW16)

Panache Floris in Teal Floral (30-38 D-K) ; Panache Clara in Teal/Slate (30-38 D-J) ; Panache Ava in Pearl Grey (28 F-H, 30-38 D-H) ; Panache Clara in Heather (30-38 D-J)

Shades of teal and gray were also popular this season, as seen throughout the FlorisClara and the new Ava. The Ava is an unpadded plunge going up to an H cup, featuring an elegant grey base, accented with small berry bows. I also thought the new colourways for the Clara were really lovely choices; the Teal/Slate is a dark and sophisticated, and the Heather (a sort of muted lavender with pale gold trim) is beautifully delicate.

Panache Jasmine in Caramel (Panache AW16)

Panache Elise in Praline (Panache AW16)

Panache Eleanor Maternity in Latte (Panache AW16)

Panache Eleanor Maternity Clip Detail in Latte (Panache AW16)

Panache Jasmine in Caramel (28 F-HH, 30-38 D-K) ; Panache Elise in Praline (30-38 D-G) ; Panache Eleanor Maternity in Latte (pictures 3-4; 28 DD-G, 30-34 D-H, 36 D-GG, 38 D-G)

As expected, there are also plenty of new neutral options. Following on from the success of the basic Cleo Marcie, this season is bringing the Jasmine in basic colours of Caramel and Black! There will also be a delectable new brown bra in the form of the Elise, and a new moulded maternity bra, the Eleanor Maternity in Latte.

Panache Jasmine Set in Rose Print (Panache AW16)

Panache Jasmine in Rose Print (Panache AW16)

Panache Andorra in Magenta (Panache AW16)

Panache Nouveau in Cherry (Panache AW16)

Panache Thea in Black Floral (Panache AW16)

Panache Jasmine in Rose Print (pictures 1-2; 28 F-HH, 30-38 D-K) ; Panache Andorra in Magenta (28-40 D-J) ; Panache Nouveau in Cherry (30 E-K, 32-40 D-K, 42 D-J, 44 DD-FF) ; Panache Thea in Black Floral (30-38 D-K).

Rich berry shades are popular this season, as shown in the deep maroon Jasmine, the eyegrabbing berry purple Andorra, the cherry red Nouveau, and another wonderfully wintery floral for the Thea, featuring a black base with pops of red, orange and pink.

Panache Jasmine in Crochet Print (Panache AW16)

Panache Porcelain Élan Full in Black (Panache AW16)

Panache Porcelain Élan Close-up in Black (Panache AW16)

Panache Jasmine in Crochet Print (picture 1; 28 F-HH, 30-38 D-K) ; Porcelain Élan Strapless Body (pictures 2-3; 28 DD-G, 30-38 D-G)

And of course, there are new black bras. Along with the aforementioned Jasmine in Black (which I unfortunately did not get a picture of), we have the Jasmine in a sophisticated caramel and black crochet print, as well as a new addition to the Porcelain Élan family, the Strapless Body. This style comes with detachable straps, and is available in black only. One thing to note is that the lace used on the sides and back is the floral lace shown in picture 3 (not the geometric lace worn in picture 2, which I was a little sad about)! However, it is still a really gorgeous, practical style, and I’m looking forward to see how it fares.

Panache Sport Wired Sports Bra in Odyssey Print (Panache Sport AW16)

Panache Sport Wired Sports Bra in Neon Pixel Print (Panache Sport AW16)

Panache Sport Wired Sports Bra in Odyssey Print and Neon Pixel
(28 DD-H, 30 D-H, 32 C-J, 34 B-J, 36 B-HH, 38 B-H, 40 D-GG)

Onto the Sport range! The Wired Sports Bra will be available in two new colourways – a Brazil-inspired Odyssey Print, and Neon Pixel, a bold colourway reminiscent of grafitti and city skylines.

Panache Sport Non-Wired Sports Bra in Neon Pixel (Panache Sport AW16)

Panache Sport Non-Wired Sports Bra in Blue Marl (Panache Sport AW16)

Panache Sport Non-Wired Sports Bra in Neon Pixel and Blue Marl
(28 DD-H, 30 D-H, 32 C-H, 34-38 B-H, 40 D-GG)

The Non-Wired Sports Bra is also available in Blue Marl and Neon Pixel, however, in this style, it’s simply a colourblocked bright pink/fuschia. Not quite as cool as the wired version, I wouldn’t say, but I’m sure there will be plenty of people who prefer it!
Panache Swim Britt Stripe Bikini in Aqua White (Panache Swim AW16)

Panache Swim Britt Stripe Tankini in Aqua White (Panache Swim AW16)

Panache Swim Elle in Palm Print (Panache Swim AW16)

Panache Swim Britt Stripe Halter Bikini and Halter Tankini in Aqua/White (pictures 1-2; 30-38 D-H) ; Panache Swim Elle in Palm Print (30 E-HH, 32-38 D-J)

Finally, there are a few pieces available in the Swim range. Blues are again popular, with the Britt Stripe returning in teal and white, and the Elle (the mix-and-match range for the Anya Stripe) in a bright blue and green palm print.

Panache Swim Anya Spot Bandeau Bikini Set in Black White (Panache Swim AW16)

Panache Swim Anya Spot Tankini in Black White (Panache Swim AW16)

Panache Swim Anya Spot Bandeau Bikini in Black White (Panache Swim AW16)

Panache Swim Anya Spot Bandeau Bikini in Black/White (pictures 1 & 3; 30 DD-G, 32-38 D-G, 40 DD-F) ; Panache Swim Anya Spot Balconett Tankini in Black/White (picture 2; 32 E-J, 34-38 D-J, 40-42 E-J)

The last new style was one I really liked, the Anya Spot. This is a new continuity range, similar to the Anya Stripe mentioned above. I am personally a much bigger fan of polka dots than I am of stripes, so if they’re planning to do something similar to the Elle to give matching fashion options each season, I’m definitely looking forward to this!

So, that’s the full collection! Funnily enough, in my Panache preview for SS16, I said that I much preferred teals and purples to SS16’s biggest colours. And look what we have now! Admittedly, teal and purple are pretty common colours for Autumn/Winter, but given the range of teals, blues and berry purples/reds available this season, I’m hopeful there’s something everyone can get on board with.

What do you think of the Panache AW16 collection? Any favourite pieces? Any not-so-favourite pieces? Let me know any thoughts in the comments below, and be sure to check back later today for the rest of the Panache brands!

  1. I’m so delighted with the colorways for AW16!! The Orchid Jasmine pattern looks really similar to the new Parfait Charlotte colorway, and the Black Floral Thea reminds me of the Panache Paloma from a few years ago. The Charlotte and Paloma are both unattainable for me so this is a great compromise.

I love that the colors are so deep and saturated. I think these kinds of colors will suit a wider variety of skin tones.

  2. Hi boo! Great post, I will probably direct my readers to this post when mine goes up as I will only be featuring my favourite products :) Hope that is okay to you! Can’t wait to see what you are about to feature next, my Gossard roundup is going up soon 😉

  3. great post!I love the deep cobalt blue and the grey of Ava! I am super into cold jewel tones. what’s the timeline for these? and was anyone able to find the thea last season? i want to try it, being a general fan of jasmine and envy for shape, and olivia for comfort. I feel like i have a hard time finding the new colors/styles in the usual places (herroom, fig leaves, bravissimo and amazon). where should i be looking?

    • Hey Cassie, thanks for your comment! I don’t have an exact timeline, but generally, Autumn/Winter collections should be released between July and October. The blush floral Thea is a SS16 piece, so it might be that it won’t be released for another month or two – March to May drops aren’t uncommon! Hopefully that’s what’s happening here, as I’d definitely like to try out the Thea, too :)

  4. Jasmine is coming out in 4 new colour ways, but floris in only one new colourway, is this the usual trend? However both are gorgeous, thanks for the roundup….I am so excited…..I love all shades of blue.

    • Hey Sowmya, thanks for commenting! Jasmine is an old, very popular classic, so it does tend to be available in more colourways than many other styles. However, Thea is another style which is based on the Floris, so if you like the Floris, I think it’ll be worth checking that out, too :)
