The last Wacoal Eveden brand I’ll be covering is Elomi! I usually preview Elomi and Goddess together, however, this preview will mostly be of Elomi, as for some reason there was only one Goddess style available for me to look at. I’m not sure if the other samples were being shown elsewhere, or if Goddess are primarily focussing on continuity styles rather than fashion styles at the moment, but it’s something to keep in mind for this preview. The Elomi AW16 collection primarily features shades of teal, bright blue, red, brown and black, with pops of silver, pink and white.
Elomi Bijou Longline Moulded Bra in Teal (34 F-H, 36-40 E-H) ; Elomi Bijou Banded Moulded Bra in Teal (34 F-H, 36-42 E-H, 44 E-G) ; Elomi Portia Plunge Bra in Silver (34 G-JJ, 36-40 DD-JJ, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-G, 46 DD-FF)
Teal is a strong colour for this season, as shown in the Bijou and Portia. Let me start this preview by saying that this Bijou longline is quite possibly the prettiest style from Elomi I have ever seen. Look at it!!! The rich teal colour, the bold black piping above the cups, the scalloped lace overlay, it is just perfection. I also really liked the Portia – on first glance, the print looks almost like stained glass windows, but when looking closer, the details of the butterfly print really come out.
Elomi Racquel Full Cup Banded Bra in Sapphire (34 G-JJ, 36 E-JJ, 38-44 DD-JJ) ; Elomi Anushka Babydoll (34 G-H, 36-42 E-H, 44 E-FF; Padded Half Cup Bra also available in 34 G-H, 36-42 D-H, 44 D-FF, 46 D-F, Stretch Plunge Bra available in 34 G-HH, 36-42 D-HH, 44 D-G, 46 D-DD)
We see shades of bright blue used in the Racquel and the Anushka. The Racquel is a true, bright blue shade, whereas the Anushka features more of a bright, blue-toned purple. I really liked the Anushka style in this colourway, and the return of the Anushka babydoll is something I’m definitely pleased about.
Elomi Cate Full Cup Banded Bra in Black Cherry (34-36 E-K, 38-42 DD-K, 44-46 DD-HH) ; Elomi Kiki Plunge Bra in Raspberry (32 GG-HH, 34 G-HH, 36-42 DD-HH, 44 DD-G, 46 DD)
We have two cooler red-based shades in the Cate and the Kiki! The Kiki is a gorgeous plunge style, featuring a solid panel to the side, sheer layers of red and beige mesh, and shell embroidery over the cups – this looks truly stunning on! One thing that has changed this season is that Cate will no longer be available in the soft cup style, just the underwired full cup, so I don’t think there will be any soft cup options available from Elomi this season.
Elomi Matilda Plunge Bra in Passion (32 GG-JJ, 34 G-JJ, 36-40 DD-JJ, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-G, 46 DD) ; Elomi Carmen Stretch Plunge Bra in Poppy (32 GG-JJ, 34 G-JJ, 36-40 D-JJ, 42 D-HH, 44 D-G, 46 D-DD) ; Elomi Lottie Stretch Plunge Bra in Love Letters (32 GG-JJ, 34 G-JJ, 36-40 D-JJ, 42 D-HH, 44 D-G, 46 D-DD)
Continuing with the red and pink shades, we have the Matilda, Carmen and Lottie! The Matilda and Lottie are both new plunge styles, with the Matilda featuring a rigid upper, and the Lottie featuring a stretch upper. While the Matilda and Carmen are block colour styles, the Lottie uses a very romantic print, featuring rose petals and love letter excerpts in soft shades of pink.
Elomi Aquila Half Cup in Shale (34 G-H, 36-44 D-FF, 46 D-F) ; Elomi Morgan Stretch Banded Bra in Blaze (32 GG-K, 34 G-K, 36-40 DD-K, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-G, 46 DD)
There are two new autumnal styles, the Aquila and Morgan! Morgan was introduced last season in almond as a continuity basic, but this deeper print is stunning! The rich browns, oranges and reds in this piece give it a really gorgeous look – depending on how you look at it, it’s somewhere between a roaring campfire, animal print and autumn leaves. I think this is a really great piece for Autumn/Winter!
Elomi Tara Half Cup in Black (34 G-H, 36-42 D-H, 44 D-FF, 46 D-F) ; Elomi Matilda Stretch Plunge Bra in Black (pictures 2-3; 32 GG-JJ, 34 G-JJ, 36-40 DD-JJ, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-G, 46 DD) ; Goddess Bra in Black (name and size range unknown)
There are also various styles in black and white! These are the Tara, Matilda, and an unknown Goddess style. I adore white lingerie with black detailing, so the Tara is a definite favourite of mine. I also really like the subtle white detailing on the Matilda – it’s a very sleek, no-frills, no-bows piece, which I think will be a great choice for those who aren’t fans of overtly feminine lingerie. Finally, this was the one new Goddess style I saw! It appears to be a full-cup cut, featuring a padded lower section, a stretch lace upper, and a textured overlay on the cups. Unfortunately I didn’t get any more details about it (Wacoal Eveden never seem to have Goddess brochures available!), but it does look like it’ll be a good basic option for Goddess fans.
Elomi Kiki Plunge Bra in Black (pictures 1-3; 32 GG-HH, 34 G-HH, 36-42 DD-HH, 44 DD-G, 46 DD) ; Elomi Kiki Waist Cincher in Black (pictures 1 & 3; M-XXL, Black only). Brochure image courtesy of Elomi Lingerie.
Finally, my other favourite style of the collection, Kiki in black! You guys, looook at the pretty!!! I always say that I wish there were more suspender belts, waspies, fun coordinating pieces available with full-bust bras, so this suspender waspie piece is an absolute winner for me. It’s just so gorgeous!
Elomi Energise Sports Bra in Navy (32 GG-J, 34 G-K, 36 DD-K, 38 D-K, 40 D-J, 42 D-H, 44 D-GG, 46 D-DD)
Elomi currently seem to have just one sports bra design, the Energise, which is available in this navy fashion colourway, as well as its current continuity colorways of black, white, beige and pomegranate. This looks quite similar in construction to the Freya Active Underwired Sports Bra (though with a rounder neckline), so I’m quite curious as to whether they do have the same frame.
And of course, I had a look through the swimwear selections! The Elomi Swim AW16 collection features bright reds and pinks set against monochrome black and white.
Elomi Swim Essentials Firm Control Suit (left; 16-26) and Wrap Skirted Brief (right; 16-26) in Black ; Elomi Swim Lucky Star Gathered Moulded Tankini (left; 16-26), Gathered Moulded Suit (right; 16-26) and Short (bottom; 16-26; Underwired Bikini also available in 34 G-J, 36-38 E-J, 40 G-HH, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-FF)
First up, the Essentials and Lucky Star ranges. Most of these black and white styles are available in general sizing rather than cup sizes, but there is an underwired bikini option in the Lucky Star range.
Elomi Swim Fly Free Moulded Multiway Tankini in Black (picture 1; 16-26) ; Elomi Swim Fly Free Bandeau Bikini in Black (left in picture 2, top in picture 3; 34 G-HH, 36-40 E-HH, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-FF) ; Elomi Swim Fly Free Plunge Bikini in Black (right in picture 2, second down in picture 3; 34 G-HH, 36-40 E-HH, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-FF) ; Elomi Swim Fly Free Moulded Suit in Black (left in picture 3, picture 4; 16-26)
One of my favourite styles, the Fly Free. This tropical jungle print primarily features tropical flowers and tiger stripes, which I think makes for a very fun, eyecatching style.
Elomi Swim Surfs Up Moulded Bikini and Mid Rise Brief in Black (34 G-H, 36-42 E-H, 44 E-FF & 16-26)
The pops of pink and orange continue onto the Surfs Up, featuring a simple black base with block stripes trimming the tops of the cups and the waistband.
Elomi Swim Kissimmee Split Back Flared Tankini in Red (pictures 1-2; 16-26) ; Elomi Swim Kissimmee Bikini Top in Red (pictures 2-3; 36-40 E-HH, 42 DD-HH, 44 DD-H) ; Elomi Swim Kissimmee Skirted Brief in Red (picture 4; 16-26)
Finally the Kissimmee style, another swim collection featuring various different pieces in a red crochet knit fabric.
Overall I really like this collection! Last season from Elomi was lovely, but it only featured standard bra and brief styles. In comparison, this season features a longline bra, babydoll and a lovely waist cincher, all of which are beautiful styles that are really made to be seen! I’m also pleased to see the number of styles which now go down to a 32 band, as I know there are plenty of women who find they need larger brief or cup sizes than most brands offer, but still require a small band size. And, of course, the availability of 32 bands means I’ll be able to fit into a few of these styles myself 😉
So, what do you think of the Elomi AW16 collection? Any favourite styles? Any not-so-favourite styles? Let me know any thoughts in the comments below!
