Hello lovelies! I’m fresh back from Moda and ready to share sneak peeks of what’s coming next year – but first! I noticed at Moda that once again, the number of brown bras is on the rise, which is great news for women of colour looking for nude bras. I wrote about all of the nude bras available from full-bust brands for the SS16 season earlier this year, and I thought now would be a good time to do the same thing for the current AW16 season. So, here’s what’s available now!
First up, the Parfait Charlotte in Bronze, available soon in 28-40 D-K! I admit, the black piping means it won’t be a perfect nude bra, but I am very glad to finally see a darker shade join this bra’s classic nude-based shades of Peach and Dusty Rose. I’m sure this will look stunning on light and dark skintones alike, and I can’t wait to see how people like it. Continue reading →
This review is one which has been a long time coming! The strappy bra trend has been around for a long time, but full-bust brands have taken much longer to join the trend. However, brands seem to be getting bolder with these designs every season, with more and more strappy bras are being released all the time. I’ve owned quite a few of them, but this bra is, to me, the absolute ultimate strappy bra. Dear readers, allow me to introduce: the Ewa Michalak S Przeplatanki.
If you haven’t come across this bra before, you’re probably a bit confused – I mean, where are the straps? My darlings, the straps are detachable and fully customisable. This bra can take you from work to a night out with ease, with more possible looks than I can even imagine. But I’m getting ahead of myself! Let’s start with the basics. I tried out this bra in my usual size of 70K (UK 32K). As this is the Ewa Michalak S style, the fit and construction is extremely similar to my other 70K S bras, such as the S Turkusowe Kfiaty I reviewed recently. As such, I’ll try to keep the details about the base bra short! Continue reading →
Hey lovelies! Sorry for the radio silence over here – those who follow me on social media will already know this, but I’ve been a bit out of action recently due to appendicitis and subsequent surgery, not to mention sorting for university exams and my new nephew arriving seven weeks early! Anyway, I’ve been working on a few posts and should be back to regular posting soon, but since it’s currently a bank holiday weekend here in the UK, many lingerie and clothing brands are offering bank holiday sales and discounts. So, today I thought I’d do a quick round-up of what’s available!
Rochella are offering 50% off their current collection (which I previously showcased here)! Rochella are a new premium lingerie brand, offering some really gorgeous designs right up to a J cup. Bras are usually £59, while suspender briefs and regular briefs are usually £46 and £30 respectively, so if you were curious about Rochella, now would be a great time to try them out! To get this offer, enter the code RSS1605 at the checkout. End date TBA. Continue reading →
The Turkusowe Kwiaty is a beautifully sweet and summery piece, featuring a delectable floral in bubblegum shades of blue and pink, with smaller pops of bluebell, sunny yellow, blush pink and rose red. The straps, band elastic and bows are bubblegum blue, while the cups are trimmed with bright pink lace, which I think is a really fun and eye-catching combination! Continue reading →
Those of you who have been readers for a long time might remember my love for Curvy Kate’s Showgirl collections – particularly the Tease Me and Thrill Me styles! Unfortunately, these styles only went to a 30J and sister sizes, and as a 30JJ/K, they were always a bit too small (not that that ever stopped me!). Luckily for me, not too long ago, the Tease Me was reinvented and re-released as the Curvy Kate Tease, in a new-and-improved size range of 28-38 D-J.
I usually wear a 30K in Curvy Kate’s unpadded bras, however, since this size isn’t available, I decided to try it out in a 32J with size 14 briefs. I’m also wearing the set here with my Lovehoney Flaunt Me robe (reviewed here) – I think the scalloped lace trims match this set perfectly! Continue reading →
