Mesmerised by Masquerade

Masquerade (also known as Harlequin) was the luxury brand of the Panache family, providing slightly more sultry, sexy and sophisticated options in sizes 28-38 D-H. Masquerade has since been rebranded as Panache Black and the available styles have been completely changed, but many of the older Masquerade styles are still floating around if you look for them. Obviously, with my usual Panache size of 30JJ, I’m a fair way out of Masquerade’s size range, but I had to know what I was missing out on. So, I decided to try out a couple of pieces in a 34H.

Panache Masquerade Persia Black 34H Full

The first style I tried was the Masquerade Persia in Black, matched here with some high waisted briefs by Starline Lingerie. As the highest cup size available was an H, and Masquerade were often said to run firm in the band, I decided that a 34H (sister size to a 30J) might be my best shot for something wearable. Glittering in Gwiezdny Pył

A while back now, Ewa Michalak released the BM cut, an unpadded style featuring a stretch lace upper – a construction which I am always a huge fan of! So, of course, I had to try it out for myself. One style I was particularly lusting after was the BM Gwiezdny Pył, so I was overjoyed when one reader very kindly bought it off my wishlist. Here’s how I found it!

Ewa Michalak BM Gwiezdny Pyl 70JJ Full

My usual size in the S and SM styles is 70K (32K), but due to the stretch lace upper, I decided to try this in a slightly smaller size of 70JJ (32JJ), with the size 42 (14) thong. Continue reading

Loving Longlines with Curvy Kate’s Carmen

The Curvy Kate Carmen is a bra that I absolutely fell for as soon as the first promotional pictures were released. I’ve longed for a longline bra ever since they came into fashion a few years back, and when I saw it at the start of 2014, I knew I had to get it, even if it was a Thrill Me-style squeeze. When I discovered the Carmen would be available in 28-38 D-J, well…

…I knew it was meant to be. This is the Carmen Longline (32J) and Thong (14) in Rose Mix, the first colourway this set was released in. I’ve owned this set for about a year now, and I am still just as in love with it as I was when I first saw it.  Continue reading

Mini-Review: Panache Sport in Grey

The Panache Sport is a style which I’ve written about on the blog before, and one which I absolutely adore. I have had the grey colourway on my wishlist for a long time, so I was very pleased when the wonderful Large Cup Lingerie kindly offered to gift it to me. I have previously found that the level of support and comfort the Sport offers is outstanding, and the grey colourway is no exception.

Panache Sport in Grey - 32H

The Panache Sport is available in 28 DD-H, 30 D-H, 32 C-H, 34-38 B-H, and 40 D-GG, so as before, I opted to try this colourway in a 32H. As always with Large Cup Lingerie, the bra was sent out swiftly and arrived beautifully wrapped in tissue paper (a little detail I always love!). I did notice some differences in sizing between this and my other colourways, which is mainly the reason I decided to write a mini-review for this colourway. Continue reading

Summer Fling, Don’t Mean a Thing

A few months ago, Bravissimo released their Summer collection. There weren’t many pieces in my size range, but one in particular caught my eye: the Cherry Fling. Featuring gingham bows and cute cherries, it’s a stunning retro-inspired bra that I knew I had to try! As a current 30K/KK, I first tried this bra in a 30K (pictures/review here), which was too small in the cups for me. I also found the 30K to run tight in the band, so it fit more like a 28KK. With this in mind, I reordered in a 32K.

Cherry Fling bra at Bravissimo

I think you can see in the pictures, but this is a much better fit! As I hoped, the band was nice and firm, so it fit like a more true-to-size 30KK. Others have also said they found it regular in the band, so it seems this bra may have a lot of variation between sizes. I found the bra to give the usual upfront, naturally uplifted/rounded shape that I’ve come to expect from Bravissimo.
