Spring into Summer with Gossard

I have been speaking to a possible columnist/guest poster for a while, and when I was contacted by Gossard asking if I would like to review something of theirs, it seemed like a great opportunity for her first post. Hopefully this will be the first post of many, so give a warm welcome to Rachael.

I had strangely never heard of the Gossard brand before (and therefore had never owned one of their pieces), so when I was contacted about reviewing one of their sets I had a little mooch on their website and gladly accepted! My current size is a 28G so I decided to try out a 30FF (as they don’t go down to 28 bands) and XS briefs. I was extremely pleased to find one of the sets they sent me was the Gossard Summer Plunge and matching thong – I hadn’t seen any pictures of this bra anywhere, so it was a lovely surprise to get a first look at it.

Pretty in Panache Jasmine

When I was first fitted as a 30JJ, it was relatively easy to find bras that worked for me. Somehow, going up just 1-2 cups has made so many of my favourite bras unwearable, and forced me to look around for a new favourite bra. I covered some of the bras I tried out back in July, and around the same time, I decided to try the Panache Jasmine. The Panache Jasmine is a full-cup bra, available in 30-38 D-K. Full-cup construction isn’t usually known for giving a good shape, but full-cups with side-sling support are another story, giving lots of shaping and uplift. In this bra, the top section of the cup is made with stretch lace, which allows the bra to work for a variety of breast shapes.

At the time of purchasing I was between a 30K/KK in most bras (30L in Bravissimo Alana), so I first decided to try a 30K.

This is the Bravissimo exclusive Red/Floral colourway. At first glance it seemed to be a reasonably good fit, giving a naturally uplifted shape. Continue reading
