When I was contacted about reviewing one of Gossard’s sets, I received the Gossard Summer Plunge set (which I previously reviewed here), and I also surprisingly received a second set, which was the Gossard Retrolution Half-Padded Bra in Black with matching briefs (part of their ‘VIP Lingerie’ range). I usually wear a 28G, but as Gossard start at a 30 band, I decided to try out a 30FF with XS briefs. When I took my first look at this set I wasn’t too sure about it, but I swiftly changed my mind. As someone who has a relatively accessible cup size I find the majority of bras in my size range give a fairly rounded shape, which was my main reason for doubting this bra – the ‘Retrolution Half-Padded Bra’ is pointy.
At first I was a little uncomfortable at the thought of a pointy bra, but upon trying it on my opinion slowly changed. While looking in the mirror I felt like a gorgeous vintage model and I just wanted to pin curl my hair, dance around to swing jazz and apply my favourite red lipstick! Continue reading →
I have been speaking to a possible columnist/guest poster for a while, and when I was contacted by Gossard asking if I would like to review something of theirs, it seemed like a great opportunity for her first post. Hopefully this will be the first post of many, so give a warm welcome to Rachael.
I had strangely never heard of the Gossard brand before (and therefore had never owned one of their pieces), so when I was contacted about reviewing one of their sets I had a little mooch on their website and gladly accepted! My current size is a 28G so I decided to try out a 30FF (as they don’t go down to 28 bands) and XS briefs. I was extremely pleased to find one of the sets they sent me was the Gossard Summer Plunge and matching thong – I hadn’t seen any pictures of this bra anywhere, so it was a lovely surprise to get a first look at it.
My Curves & Me is an online store, stocking many lingerie and swimwear sets at discounted prices. Owned by Panache, it is one of the best places to find Superbra, Cleo, Masquerade and Sculptresse bras. While they do stock some current sets, most of their stock is from older seasons, which means it’s a great place to grab a bargain on any of the bras you might have missed out on. Recently, a representative from My Curves & Me reached out to offer me a set to review. I’ve loved the look of the Cleo Ellis from AW13 for a long time, so when I saw it in stock, I gladly accepted!
I have reviewed various Cleo bras on my blog in a 30J (see here and here), but with a current usual size of 30K, I have found this size is now too small in the cups for me. Hearing that the Cleo Ellis was firmer in the band than most Cleo bras, I opted to try the 32J with size 14 briefs. Continue reading →
A few months ago, I was contacted by Cake Lingerie asking if I would like to review something of theirs. As I am not in their size range and am not familiar with the specific needs of pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, I did not feel I would be able to write an in-depth review of their bras. Instead, I asked an expectant friend of mine if she would like to write a guest post, and I am pleased to say she accepted. So, here is my first ever guest post, written by the wonderful Bronwen.
Cake Lingerie are a maternity brand, providing luxurious, fashion-forward maternity and nursing lingerie. Their range of maternity bras includes flexible wired bras, non-wired soft cups, moulded cups and even sleepwear, in lots of beautiful designs. When I was asked what I would like to try, I decided on the beautiful Ginger Macaroon Bra and Brief, which is available in sizes 32-38 C-GG, 40 D-GG, with matching briefs available in sizes 10-18. I opted to try the 34GG with size 12 briefs, and I’m pleased to say it was a great success.
At the start of this year, Panache contacted me to ask if I would like to participate in their new year fitness campaign, Support Every Move. The campaign was very successful, including a crowd-sourced workout playlist on Spotify, a motivational pinboard on Pinterest, articles about fitness and music, reviews of the Panache Sports bra and lots of giveaways. I contributed to the pinboard, and I am pleased to say that I was also able to try the Panache Sport, which is what I’ll be reviewing today! I’ll give you the summary now: I am in love with it.
