Feeling Tropical in Maison Lejaby Theodora

Earlier in the year I was contacted by Maison Lejaby about reviewing one of their pieces, and though I wasn’t familiar with the brand, I quickly had a look around their website and gladly accepted! Maison Lejaby is a French brand that has been around since the 1930’s, offering some absolutely divine pieces! They asked me which pieces I liked the look of and I found it really hard to choose. I eventually picked out the Theodora, Illusion, and Hanae styles, and I was thrilled when I received not one, not two, but three different sets! The first set that I received was the Theodora Unpadded Balconette Bra in Tropical with the regular matching briefs. I’m not usually a fan of orange-anything really, but this is an exception – I think this set is absolutely stunning!

I received the set in sizes 80F (30F) and Size 2 (Small) briefs. They use French sizing, so it took me a while to figure out which size I should go for, but I figured it out eventually! Continue reading

The Ultimate Strappy Bra: Review of the Ewa Michalak S Przeplatanki (70K)

This review is one which has been a long time coming! The strappy bra trend has been around for a long time, but full-bust brands have taken much longer to join the trend. However, brands seem to be getting bolder with these designs every season, with more and more strappy bras are being released all the time. I’ve owned quite a few of them, but this bra is, to me, the absolute ultimate strappy bra. Dear readers, allow me to introduce: the Ewa Michalak S Przeplatanki.

Ewa Michalak S Przeplatanki 70K (32K) 01

If you haven’t come across this bra before, you’re probably a bit confused – I mean, where are the straps? My darlings, the straps are detachable and fully customisable. This bra can take you from work to a night out with ease, with more possible looks than I can even imagine. But I’m getting ahead of myself! Let’s start with the basics. I tried out this bra in my usual size of 70K (UK 32K). As this is the Ewa Michalak S style, the fit and construction is extremely similar to my other 70K S bras, such as the S Turkusowe Kfiaty I reviewed recently. As such, I’ll try to keep the details about the base bra short! Continue reading

Review of the Ewa Michalak S Turkusowe Kwiaty (70K)

I mentioned in my review of the Ewa Michalak S Gazeta that I usually take a 70K (32K) in my Ewa Michalak S bras, but I haven’t actually reviewed any of these yet! So, today I thought I would review another of my S styles, the S Turkusowe Kwiaty!

1 - Ewa Michalak S Turkutsowe Kwiaty 70K (32K)

The Turkusowe Kwiaty is a beautifully sweet and summery piece, featuring a delectable floral in bubblegum shades of blue and pink, with smaller pops of bluebell, sunny yellow, blush pink and rose red. The straps, band elastic and bows are bubblegum blue, while the cups are trimmed with bright pink lace, which I think is a really fun and eye-catching combination! Continue reading

Burlesque Inspiration with the Ewa Michalak S Gazeta

A couple of years ago, Ewa Michalak released a particular style which received an unbelievable amount of attention: the CHP Gazeta. This burlesque-inspired, newspaper print piece sold out incredibly quickly, and it’s still highly coveted throughout the lingerie community today. While the CHP has a smaller size range than some of Ewa’s other pieces, Ewa Michalak offers the option for many of her styles to be custom-made in another cut for a small fee. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an S Gazeta, which uses the same fabrics and detailing, but in a construction specifically designed for larger breasts.

Ewa Michalak S Gazeta 60L and Lovehoney Flaunt Me Robe

With how sought-after this style is, I wasn’t able to get this bra in my preferred size of 70K (32K), so this is a 60L (28L). Continue reading

Reinventing the Classics with Gossard

Editor’s note: Today’s review will be of the Gossard “Gypsy” set. While I understand that this set is a remake of a set made in the 1980s and is named as such, it would be extremely ignorant of me not to point out that G**** is a racial slur, still used against Rromani people today. It is not a synonym for bohemian, free spirit, hippie or anything like that, and to use it as a bra name is very trivialising of the Rromani experience. For this reason, the bra will be simply referred to as “G” throughout this review.

As you may know I recently received the Gossard Desire set (which I previously reviewed here), and I surprisingly received a second set, which was the Gossard G Non Padded Bra in Caramel with the matching Deep Short. The G is one of Gossard‘s iconic styles, originally introduced in the 80’s as the bra that “made men faint”. It’s been out of production for a while, but a few months ago, the style was modernised and re-released as a non-padded bra, padded bra and basque, in two continuity colourways of black and caramel.

Gossard Gypsy Unpadded Bra and Deep Brief in Caramel - 30F, XS (3)

My usual size is a 28G, but as always Gossard’s bands start at 30, and as I had heard this particular bra runs a little big, I decided to try out a 30F with XS briefs. Usually, the type of bras I go for are padded plunge sets (as I have quite close-set breasts I find the low gores work best for me) – but I unexpectedly love this non-padded bra!
