Two Years of Blogging!

Celebrating two years of blogging

Well that crept up on me. Yet again, I can’t believe that I’ve been writing this blog for two years – it feels as though it’s been a few months at most! I really don’t know where the time has gone!

This year I started to write more social commentary and opinion pieces, which I was happy to find well-received! I was surprised to find that my first post of this type, ‘Sexism and children: Why it’s not ‘just a joke’‘ went viral after being shared by the wonderful Pigtail Pals and Ballcap Buddies, resulting in nearly 1000 shares on facebook. This happened again a few weeks later, with ‘Why I Believe Bra-Fitting is a Feminist Issue‘ and my contribution to The Modesty Panel becoming two of my most popular posts of the year. We began a campaign for Diversity In Lingerie, I had an amazing photoshoot in an amazing corset, I wrote a new fit guide, and I even received scooped runner-up ‘Best Lingerie Blog’ in the 2013 Brastop Awards. In short, it has been a wonderful year for the blog.

As of today, Bras and Body Image has nearly 650,000 pageviews, and over 3500 followers between various social media, a huge jump from where the blog was last year! Once again, I want to thank all of you for your continued support. I honestly can’t believe so many people care what I have to say, and every new follower, every share, every interaction means so much to me.

So, without further ado! Those of you who were here last year may remember that I held a giveaway to celebrate my 1st blog birthday, and I am happy to say that I will be again! The giveaway will launch on Sunday 19th, so remember to check back then to read about the prizes and the companies offering them. This year’s giveaway will be bigger and better than last year’s, and I hope there will be something for everyone! As before, it will be in the form of Rafflecopter prize draws, so hopefully everyone will find it easy to enter! Each draw will last two weeks, and the winners will be announced in a blog post.

Once again, thank you to everyone – readers, sharers and supporters. Your continued support means everything to me, and I am so happy to have reached two years. Here’s to many more!

Prize draws [ENDED]:

Individual T&Cs are available at the bottom of each Rafflecopter widget. Prize draws will run for two weeks: starting 18:00:00 19/01/2014, ending 23:59:59 02/02/2014 (GMT). No entries will be accepted after this. Winners will be selected at random by the Rafflecopter software.
There is no limit on how many giveaways you can enter. If tweeting to enter, you cannot use the same tweet for more than one entry: each separate entry, whether for the same giveaway or not, must be with a different tweet. Duplicate tweet entries will be removed before the draw. Please ensure any comments left as an entry have your name, so you can be identified should you win. If you are unidentifiable another name will be drawn. The winners will be chosen at random after the closing date and will be contacted by the Promoter within 48 hours, using whichever means of contact were left in this form. The winner will have 5 days to accept the prize, and after this another winner will be chosen.

  1. Yay, happy blog anniversary! :) I just love your blog, and am so appreciative of all you do to spread the word about feminism, lingerie, and bra fit :)

  2. ^_^ Congrats on your blog’s second birthday :) looking forward to see more blog posts from you, there’s always something worthwhile reading

… on another note (because these are some really awesome giveaways) are the giveaways available for international readers?

    • There is a list of links at the bottom of the page, detailing the prizes and the companies. Click on whichever prize/company you are interested in, and it will take you to the individual blog post about the company, with the Rafflecopter form for that prize at the bottom.
