Review of the Ewa Michalak S Turkusowe Kwiaty (70K)

I mentioned in my review of the Ewa Michalak S Gazeta that I usually take a 70K (32K) in my Ewa Michalak S bras, but I haven’t actually reviewed any of these yet! So, today I thought I would review another of my S styles, the S Turkusowe Kwiaty!

1 - Ewa Michalak S Turkutsowe Kwiaty 70K (32K)

The Turkusowe Kwiaty is a beautifully sweet and summery piece, featuring a delectable floral in bubblegum shades of blue and pink, with smaller pops of bluebell, sunny yellow, blush pink and rose red. The straps, band elastic and bows are bubblegum blue, while the cups are trimmed with bright pink lace, which I think is a really fun and eye-catching combination! Continue reading

Review of the Curvy Kate Tease in Black/Blush (32J, 14)

Those of you who have been readers for a long time might remember my love for Curvy Kate’s Showgirl collections – particularly the Tease Me and Thrill Me styles! Unfortunately, these styles only went to a 30J and sister sizes, and as a 30JJ/K, they were always a bit too small (not that that ever stopped me!). Luckily for me, not too long ago, the Tease Me was reinvented and re-released as the Curvy Kate Tease, in a new-and-improved size range of 28-38 D-J.

Curvy Kate Tease Bra and Suspender Brief in Black Blush (32J), with Lovehoney Flaunt Me Robe

I usually wear a 30K in Curvy Kate’s unpadded bras, however, since this size isn’t available, I decided to try it out in a 32J with size 14 briefs. I’m also wearing the set here with my Lovehoney Flaunt Me robe (reviewed here) – I think the scalloped lace trims match this set perfectly! Continue reading

Burlesque Inspiration with the Ewa Michalak S Gazeta

A couple of years ago, Ewa Michalak released a particular style which received an unbelievable amount of attention: the CHP Gazeta. This burlesque-inspired, newspaper print piece sold out incredibly quickly, and it’s still highly coveted throughout the lingerie community today. While the CHP has a smaller size range than some of Ewa’s other pieces, Ewa Michalak offers the option for many of her styles to be custom-made in another cut for a small fee. I was lucky enough to get my hands on an S Gazeta, which uses the same fabrics and detailing, but in a construction specifically designed for larger breasts.

With how sought-after this style is, I wasn’t able to get this bra in my preferred size of 70K (32K), so this is a 60L (28L). Continue reading

Reinventing the Classics with Gossard

Editor’s note: Today’s review will be of the Gossard “Gypsy” set. While I understand that this set is a remake of a set made in the 1980s and is named as such, it would be extremely ignorant of me not to point out that G**** is a racial slur, still used against Rromani people today. It is not a synonym for bohemian, free spirit, hippie or anything like that, and to use it as a bra name is very trivialising of the Rromani experience. For this reason, the bra will be simply referred to as “G” throughout this review.

As you may know I recently received the Gossard Desire set (which I previously reviewed here), and I surprisingly received a second set, which was the Gossard G Non Padded Bra in Caramel with the matching Deep Short. The G is one of Gossard‘s iconic styles, originally introduced in the 80’s as the bra that “made men faint”. It’s been out of production for a while, but a few months ago, the style was modernised and re-released as a non-padded bra, padded bra and basque, in two continuity colourways of black and caramel.

Gossard Gypsy Unpadded Bra and Deep Brief in Caramel - 30F, XS (3)

My usual size is a 28G, but as always Gossard’s bands start at 30, and as I had heard this particular bra runs a little big, I decided to try out a 30F with XS briefs. Usually, the type of bras I go for are padded plunge sets (as I have quite close-set breasts I find the low gores work best for me) – but I unexpectedly love this non-padded bra! Review of the Ewa Michalak BM Miętusek

A few months ago, I tried out and reviewed the BM Gwiezdny Pył by Ewa Michalak in a 70JJ. However, not long after I bought it, the BM Miętusek was released, and (surprise surprise) I fell in love all over again! Given that I found the Gwiezdny Pył still had a little room in the cups, and knowing that black colourways frequently run smaller than lighter colourways, I decided the try out the Miętusek in a 70J.

The pastel colours of the Miętusek are reminiscent of ice cream, macarons and candy floss. The mint colour is light and fresh, and the baby pink bow on the gore adds just the perfect touch! Since I wasn’t 100% sure that the bra was going to fit me, I decided not to order the matching briefs, so I’m wearing the bra here with a pair of F&F brazilian briefs (which I think match quite well!). Luckily for me, this size fits beautifully. Continue reading
