Moda Preview: Rochella AW16

My last preview of the season is going to be Rochella! I actually didn’t get a chance to visit Rochella at the SIL, so I instead decided to pop into last week’s Moda show to see them. So, this is going to be my only Moda preview for this season! After looking through Rochella’s SS16 launch collection, I also got a sneak peek at what’s to come next season. All of the lovely details Rochella used in SS16 return again, with all of these pieces featuring high quality Italian satin, 18ct gold plated hardware, soft lavender linings, and beautiful embroidery. And, as always, Rochella will be donating a percentage of all profits to The Eve Appeal. So, here’s Rochella AW16!

Rochella Vintage Floral Bra (Rochella AW16)

Rochella Vintage Floral Bra and Brief

First up is this surprisingly Spring-esque piece, the Vintage Floral. This is the lightest piece of the collection, featuring a duck egg blue base with a delicate pink floral. Like many of the styles in the SS16 collection, the upper cup appears to be sheer illusion net, which should become invisible against all skin tones. I think this is one style my guest blogger Rachael will be a big fan of! Continue reading

SIL Preview: Fantasie AW16 (Including Fantasie Swim)

Next up, Fantasie! Fantasie has a slightly more mature and sophisticated aesthetic than Freya, with the Fantasie AW16 collection primarily featuring shades of navy blue, teal, pomegranate and ivory, with accents of white, gold and silver.

First up, the Sofia and Natasha! These are both new styles, featuring a black base with gold and silver embroidery, but with a very different overall look! The Sofia is an incredibly beautiful, luxurious style, with an option for a coordinating waspie suspender, something I’m very pleased about! Matching suspenders seem to be far and few between in the full-bust world, so I’m always excited to see more options including them on the market. The Natasha features leopard embroidery; leopard print is often seen as being trashy or overtly sexy, but I think this embroidered approach to leopard lingerie gives a sophisticated edge to the style.

Introducing: Rochella Lingerie

One brand that I was very excited to see in person was Rochella! Rochella are an independent premium brand launching for SS16, founded by lingerie designer Karen Johnson. They aim to provide beautiful, high-quality lingerie for D-J cups, whilst also supporting a cause closer to Karen’s heart: gynaecological cancer research. As a survivor of one herself, Karen has committed to donate a percentage of all profits towards The Eve Appeal (the only gynaecological cancer research charity in the UK). And, of course, Rochella’s pieces are stunning.

With bras retailing for £59, suspender briefs for £46 and briefs for £30, they have a fairly mid-range price point – enough to be a bit of a splurge piece, but not so expensive as to make them unattainable. So, let’s take a look at Rochella SS16!

Rochella Tattoo Butterfly Bra (Rochella SS16)

Possibly my favourite style of the collection, the Tattoo Butterfly! Many of Rochella’s styles feature illusion mesh for the upper cup, which should become invisible for all skin tones. Combined with the bold black embroidered detailing, this gives an almost tattoo effect against the skin, which is really gorgeous and striking. Continue reading

SIL Preview: Lepel London AW16

Finally, Lepel’s bolder little sister, Lepel London! Lepel London launched with A-DD cups in AW15, expanding to A-F cups in SS16, and this season, there should be one style available up to a G cup. I know, one style isn’t many, but the Lepel London team are working tirelessly to expand and develop their range, and there should be more styles available in SS17. So, onto the collection! The Lepel London AW16 collection primarily features shades of blue, black and blush, with pops of deep purple and bright pink.

I know what you’ve came for, so here is the Tamara Velvet, which I have been told should be going up to a G cup! I’ve spoken to numerous reps about this piece, all of whom have said different things about the size range, so I’m not making any guarantees. However, if this is indeed going to a G cup, I’m glad they’ve chosen this style – it is absolutely gorgeous. Based off the Tamara style (which will also be returning this season), it features royal blue satin on the cups and band, black velvet wire casings and strappy detailing, and black lace edging under the band. It also has coordinating high waisted briefs (yesss!), and with the bra and brief retailing for £30 altogether, this is a really gorgeous, affordable option. Continue reading

SIL Preview: Charnos AW16

Next up is the second of the LF Intimates brands, Charnos! Charnos aims to provide pieces with a little more luxury and sophistication, with the Charnos AW16 collection featuring shades of raspberry, deep purple, ivory and gold, and plenty of options available up to a J cup!

The main fashion colours of this collection are raspberry and purple, used here in the Violet and Sienna. Both of these styles are available up to J cups, something I’m very happy about! Continue reading
